Support for Women Experiencing Intimate Partner Violence

    Our Approach

At The Anonymous Confidante we provide a secure judgement-free space where you can communicate with other women who have, or are, experiencing similar circumstances with Intimate Partner Violence.

    Our Purpose

To provide a safe place for women to discuss their concerns, fears or questions about Intimate Partner Violence, because when you are in an abusive relationship, you may feel like you have no one to talk to, or you aren't ready to share with those closest to you. At The Anonymous Confidante, we are here to listen and provide support completely anonymously. We offer a space to reconcile your thoughts and feelings, and help prepare you for the next step in your journey, whatever that may be.

You are not alone, we are here.

    Our Story

Coming from a place of understanding, The Anonymous Confidante is here to help you work through your experiences of relationship abuse. Intimate Partner Violence can present itself in so many ways in a relationship because of the varying types of abuse. Mental, physical, sexual, financial and emotional abuse are all types of abuse that women face, often times being subjected to a combination of different types. Abuse starts small and becomes more present in our relationship while we are often still trying to figure out what constitutes abuse.

As someone who has found myself in more than one abusive relationship, I recognize there is a lot of help for victims, but there isn't a lot of help for women who are still learning that they are in fact, being abused. That is what this site is about. Providing a safe place to work through your feelings in real time. To provide peer support, hear your stories, your fears, your hesitations, and let you know that you are not alone. Being in an abusive relationship is very isolating. It can be difficult to share what is going on, even with those closest to us. The Anonymous Confidante is here to ensure you do not go through it alone.
